MYSA Conference 2011 - Call For Abstracts

The Middle Years of Schooling Association (MYSA) invites all those committed to the education, growth and development of young adolescents to the 7th International Conference, to be held from 26 - 28 May 2011 at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre.

The Australian Curriculum, alongside parallel developments in New Zealand, has made curriculum reform a major priority in schools across both jurisdictions. The intent of these curricula is centred on preparing students for life in the 21st century. In order to meet this objective, these curricula will require pedagogical practices that identify and build upon the needs and potential of each student. Furthermore, this teaching must also recognise that many of the key priorities for learning in the 21st century are fundamentally different to those of the previous century.

MYSA is planning a conference program that will make clear and explicit connections between what 21st century students must learn and the most effective practices for challenging and engaging students in their middle years.

Reflecting the Melbourne Declaration, we invite you to share challenging, engaging and rewarding practices for 21st century learners as we set our sights on…

Changing curriculum, challenging times.

The CALL FOR ABSTRACTS BROCHURE invites you to submit a paper online. For a copy of the brochure CLICK HERE
